RELEASE – Los Angeles-based Americana-Country-rock singer-songwriter Heather Anne Lomax has shared a cinematic music video for her new single “Mama’s Sleepin’” from her debut album The Doman Tracks. The Blackbird Record Label release dropped earlier this month.
The new video stars actor Todd Lowe of “Gilmore Girls” and ”True Blood.” It was filmed in Los Angeles and was directed by Taylor Hungerford.
The Doman Tracks is comprised of songs that were recorded years ago with Michael Doman (frontman for “The Broken Homes” MCA Records) as producer, contributing guitarist, and vocalist. Doman passed in 2020, and Heather felt she needed to release those songs. It took Michael’s passing to bring the project “front and center” in Heather’s life, she said.
“I want to honor Michael, and the music we created together,” Lomax said. “This has been a bittersweet process to FINALLY finish and release this record.
“There has been a lot of laughter and tear stained memories along the way, but I want this to be an offering of thanks to Michael for the journey we shared through the years,” Lomax said. “This record is also dedicated to those who resonate with the music and the message.”
