Rod Stewart has revealed he has been battling prostate cancer for three years and has beaten the deadly disease.
Sir Rod also revealed additional good news: He is releasing an album on Nov. 22 he recorded with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra called You’re In My Heart.
According to the Mirror, Stewart was first diagnosed three years ago and has kept it quiet ever since. Now he is opening up about it so other men can learn to get diagnosed and treated early. Sources said he was receiving treatment in Los Angeles for the cancer. He had originally wanted to be treated in the privacy of his home but it could not be done.

Stewart, 74, who is coming out with a new album, said he was first told he had cancer during a routine exam in February of 2016.
The Mirror said Sir Rod talked about the years-long battle at a fundraiser with his former Faces band mates Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones and Kenney Jones.
His wife, Penny Lancaster said, “Tonight would be a nice night to come out of the closet.”
He replied “No, it’s not what you think. Two years ago I was diagnosed with prostate cancer… No one knows this, but I thought this was about time I told everybody. I’m in the clear, now, simply because I caught it early. I have so many tests.”
He added: “Guys, you’ve got to really go to the doctor” and “Finger up the bum, no harm done.”
“If you’re positive and you work through it and you keep; a smile on your face … I’ve worked for two years and I’ve just been happy, and the good Lord looked after me.”
