Kaya Fest, which celebrates the 40th anniversary of Bob Marley’s Kaya album, has announced set times, with the Marley Family playing the headline spot on Saturday and Ms. Lauryn Hill topping the sets on Sunday night.
The family-friendly reggae music event takes place at the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino this weekend.
Music and ‘Kaya’ Awareness
The event is a two-day music and awareness festival being held at NOS Events Center and features performances by Stephen Marley, Ziggy Marley, Damian Marley, Julian Marley, Ky-Mani Marley performing together for the first time in over a decade in Southern California.

On Sunday, Stephen Marley will perform a special acoustic Kaya album tribute with brothers Damian, Julian and Ky-Mani joining. Both days will feature some of the most unique and respected artists in reggae-influenced hip-hop, R&B, Latin and world music.
Kaya Symposium: Education Before Recreation
Kaya Fest also will present Education Before Recreation, a free symposium discussing the uses cannabis and the new California cannabis laws on Friday at the Doubletree in San Bernardino.
Moderated by Donisha Prendergast and Preston Whitfield, the symposium takes place from noon to 5 p.m. Additional guest speakers include Founder and President of EVO Hemp, Ari Sherman, co-founder of Gold Mountain Distribution Ariana Tibbets, and others.

“The purpose of the gathering as well, music brings people together of course, but we still have a greater cause we serve which is this plant called cannabis and the various different benefits of this plant, which some people know and some people don’t know,” said festival founder Stephen Marley.
“Kaya Fest is the next platform that we use to bring people together, teach them, tell them the truth, you know,” Stephen Marley said. “Not all miracles come from the sky. Some miracles come from the earth and herb is one of those.”
