James Taylor Launches ‘Million Meals Challenge’ to Help Hurricane Victims

By JOHN DALY

North Carolina-born James Taylor is asking for help for hurricane victims and has started “The James Taylor Million Meals Challenge” for hurricane relief.

The initiative, launched by The Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina, will aid New Bern, N.C., and 22 surrounding counties.

“We’ve all been hearing heartbreaking stories about the people impacted by the hurricanes hitting our coast this season, storms that have destroyed homes and communities throughout the Southeast,” Taylor says in a video he released.

Taylor: ‘We are Determined’

“While the devastation from hurricanes Florence and Michael seems overwheliming, my wife Kim and I and some of our friends are determined to do whatever we can to help,” Taylor says in the video.

“I grew up in North Carolina and my family roots are in New Bern, a town and region especially hard hit by Hurricane Florence.”
