The Skullcandy Stayloud Showdown is a competition style event that enables bands to vie for a spot on the Vans Warped Tour. Two additional Showdowns will be held, in Austin, Texas, on May 18, and New York on June 8.

Each concert is live streamed on the Skullcandy Facebook page and fans cast social media votes to choose the bands they want to see at the  Vans Warped Tour.

For the moment, it looks like Forget Your Friends was ahead in the voting. What did they think of playing in a skate park?

“It was way cool I loved the esthetic, it got me in the right mood,” said front woman for Forget Your Friends, Charlie Kennedy. “It would mean everything that we practice every weekend we don’t skip a day, this is what we’re working towards.”
