Sheila E continues to honor Prince even two years after his death.

The prolific drummer and member of the renowned musical Escovedo family of California stuck up for the Purple One, telling the world that Prince would never have wanted to be hologrammed.  Consequently the hologram that was to be used during the Super Bowl halftime celebration never appeared.

Sheila E is the daughter of the late Pete Escovedo and niece of Alejandro, Coke and Javier Escovedo; Javier is in a band made up of SoCal heroes, The Zeros.
