The Band Spin Takes the Term ‘Dig Your Own Grave’ Literally with Release of Video and New Single

By JOHN DALY

The band Spin knows how to catch your attention. That’s exactly what the new video for the single “Dig Your Own Grave” does.

Take a pretty gal, a shovel and a cool tune and it’s hard to change the YouTube channel.

Spin is a hard-working band from Philadelphia that has landed on a range of charts, TV shows, film and radio. Their newest release, “Dig Your Own Grave” comes from the new EP Meant To Rise.

While the band enjoys recording their studio, Spin is devoted to touring and has supported Halestorm, Fuel, Hinder, SafetySuit, Red, Fat Joe, RA, Charm City Devils and more. Check out the band’s Facebook page here.

The band’s last EP Stalked yielded some hits. “Happy Together” reached #1 on the iTunes indie rock charts, and various tracks appeared on networks such as NBC, MTV, VH1, Spike TV, Bravo, Much Music, and more.

“Happy Together” was featured on the CBS show Stalker on January 21, 2015, Stalker Episode 13 “The News.”

Their music videos for “Playing Dead” and “Hearts in Flames” earned rotation in the U.S. on FUSE TV and in Canada on AUX TV.

“Dig Your Own Grave” shows a gal beginning her day in Venice Beach, shovel in hand, ready to dig her own grave. And haven’t we all done that, at least figuratively, from time to time.

The music is a cool mix of fuzz and rock. The indie band has a lot going on and we’re anticipating more music yet to come.
